These seem to be best presented as videos (24fps).  At present they seem most pleasing to me as 5-10 minute videos.  The water movement (usually slowed to half or quarter real-time speed) is relaxing and I try to add background audio from the location.  The bird calls are often unique to that location.  I have to balance the water movement sound so it is not intrusive.

When presented as a slowly changing sequence there is not enough noticeable change to be interesting.  The interest seems to be in the water movement evident in a video but “lost” in a slow sequence of static images.
